Sunday. What a nice, quiet day we had! We slept in and David went to the patisserie and brought home wonderful treats -- 3 chocolate and 1 coffee eclair! And, of course, the mandatory baguette.
These eclairs are seriously delicious and I wish I could bring some home for everyone. The coffee eclair was for me since David does not like or drink coffee. Rachael, have you had them?
We didn't do much today. I ironed the bedding I washed the other day and remade the beds my friends used when they were here visiting. I caught up the blog and continued reading my book. David spent some time on his laptop checking the college football scores and reading the news.
It turned out to be a nice, fairly warm day so we went out for a walk in the afternoon. Later in the evening we had some wine and then pasta for dinner. The Super U brand has a bottled sauce that David and I both like -- tomatoes and olives. Green and black olives. Very, very good. That was about it for Sunday.

I'm missing St Aignan so much! Your posts make me feel so involved with your trip.
ReplyDeleteI know that you and David have made life long friends there. I'm sure that they will miss you both when you leave. Enjoy! I love and miss you. Gail
Julia! As much as I love Marie's boulangerie I have never eaten as many pastries in my life time as you have in two months!!! :) I will however be sure to sample some eclairs next time I am in town. (It many be after the wedding so I don't bust out of the frock!) I am more of a citron tarte girl.
