Tuesday.  Just want to note that all of the photos in today's blog were taken by Lisa Tuttle Lyda.  She is a wonderful photographer so I want to give her credit here.

We wanted to stay in Saint Aignan on Tuesday to show Gail and Lisa around.  We knew it was going to be a rainy day so we could just come and go as the weather permitted.

David, Gail and Lisa went to the bakery first thing in the morning and brought home two baguettes and orange rolls and apple pastries, etc.  They seemed to like the bakery as much as we did.

After breakfast those three headed out again and went to the cheese store (which they loved) and Lisa took some great photos down the main street of Saint Aignan.

Late afternoon, Gail, Lisa and I headed out to explore our town.  Of course first thing I took them to see was the Old Church and the crypt.  I've posted pictures of both before and will only add two of Lisa's pictures here.  The Chapel of the Miracles holds special meaning to Gail, Lisa and me so I have to post these.

The steps up to the chateau are right outside the church so we walked up and saw it and the gorgeous views you can see from the courtyard.

Lisa took a picture of Gail and me in front of the old stables.  Look how tall I am -- I love standing next to Gail!!!

I wanted to take them to our little stores so we went to the gift store, Le comploir, and they loved the variety of things for sale there.  They had received a new shipment since I was there and it included lots and lots of chocolate.  I quickly scanned that table and moved on!

There is a small clothing store here that has the most fabulous clothes and I wanted them to see it.  It is a small shop but it has quite a good selection.  Gail actually bought a very cute outfit there.  I'm sorry I did not take her picture wearing it.

By then we had been gone a few hours so we headed home so David would not worry about us.  For dinner we decided to have tappas which Lisa and Gail prepared.  Look at our beautiful dinner all laid out on our wonderful kitchen table.

We gathered around the table with good wine and good food and great company.  What a fabulous day we enjoyed!!!
