Thursday.  We got up at 6:00 today to make sure Gail and Lisa had some coffee before they left and to visit with them one last time.  We were not ready for them to leave and they seemed to want to stay longer with us too.  The taxi arrived at 7:30 a.m. to take them to the train station and we had a bit of a tearful goodbye.  But they were heading to Florence, Italy and Gail is Italian so we knew they would have a great time!!!

After they left I took my phone with me (in case they ran into any problems) and went back to bed for a few hours.  David slept a little bit too but not as long as I did.  I think I was over-tired from from having so much fun.  I worried that Gail and Lisa were very tired too.  

When I finally got up David had already been out to the bakery and the newsstand and he had also made a haircut appointment for himself at 5:00 p.m.  We had a little something to eat and I washed a load of clothes.  Truthfully we both felt a little blah and we missed our friends!

David had his hair cut by the same woman who cut mine and it looks very nice.

After his haircut we walked over to Aux Cepages to have a glass of wine and be sociable.  When we came home we had some tomato soup with baguette and butter followed by a little ice cream for dessert.  A quiet end to a quiet day.
